Photography has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. From sneaking my parent's Polaroid to 6th-grade camp to learning how to develop film in the darkroom with my grandfather – on the collection of cameras eventually passed down to me. Some of my favorite keepsakes are the film negatives and stacks of Polaroids my grandparents gave to me from when they were younger – motorcycle trips across the country, blurry snaps of morning coffee, my parents (and eventually us kids) growing up. Sifting through these photos, holding the negatives up to the light, stacking the Polaroids like a deck of playing cards – I felt stories unfold as if I had been standing right there, only to inspire the stories I now create with my wife. Documenting our days, enjoying the in-between and life’s little joys - at home and away.
